Iron & Wine
I almost don't want to put up a picture of Samuel Beam, otherwise known as Iron & Wine, but I know that none of you would not listen to the song just for his backwoods of South Carolina look. Raised in the backwoods of South Carolina, Samuel Beam, otherwise known as Iron & Wine, sent two CDs full of home recorded songs to SubPop records which promptly signed him and propelled him to indie stardom with a song on the Garden State soundtrack and one featured in an M&M's commercial. Does any of that explain his so odd, yet eerily compelling music? I love this song! It is SO sad and SO pretty!
