DJ Earworm
I realize I haven't put up a mash-up yet. Well today's the day! For anyone not familiar with the form, a mash-up is taking two or more songs and mixing them together to make something new. It can play as something much like a remix, or as something that really creates something new and interesting like DJ Hellraiser's "A Stroke of Genius" which mixed "Hard to Explain" by the Strokes with "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera and completely transformed both songs. San Francisco has it's own particular style, largely working out of gay dance clubs. This is "Nobody Takes Your Freedom" by DJ Earworm, a popular DJ there, who grew up at a hippie commune in Iowa. (An aside to all Thom Campbell fans, he takes his name from the German word "ohrwurm" which means "a tune you can't get out of your head.")

DJ Earworm has a bunch of other tracks at: http://www.djearworm.com/. Particularly check out "Since U Been Gone," "Over the Confluence of Giants," and "Stairway to Bootleg Heaven."
